Immigration Voice PledgeImmigration Voice is a non-profit organization. All of our volunteers are unpaid. All monies collected by Immigration Voice go towards grassroots efforts and obtaining advice from our strategic counsel, Patton Boggs. As a 501(c)(4) organization, Immigration Voice is obligated to file tax returns with the IRS and have its accounts audited by a CPA Immigration Voice Is Petitioning Congress For A Redress Of GrievancesImmigration Voice is asking Congress to fix the broken employment-based green card process. This is a right granted to all the people in the United States by the First Amendment of the US Constitution, which states "Amendment I - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified 12/15/1791 Immigration Voice Needs Strategic CounselSeveral of the provisions that are currently listed in Immigration Voice’s goals were part of the S.1932ES bill, the Budget bill passed by the U.S. Senate in Dec 2005. However, these provisions were removed in the House-Senate Conference and the Budget bill was passed without them.. During this time, several of the founders of Immigration Voice called the offices of Senators and Representatives but found it impossible to talk to the Congressmen involved or to find out what was happening in the House-Senate Conference. We need strategic counsel (aka a lobbyist) to help us find the best way to educate Congressmen, to get appointments with Senators and Representatives, to find the best way to get our provisions into immigration bills, and to protect these provisions in any conference so that they do not get removed behind closed doors. Do not forget that some anti-immigration groups (like numbersusa) already have full time lobbyists working for them in DC. If we are to put up a even a decent fight against these very dedicated anti-immigrant forces, we need help from a professional lobbying firm. All Immigration Voice Activities Are LegalThe Government of India hires lobbyists to educate Congress on issues facing the Indian Government. The Governments of China and Russia do the same. Foreign nationals are only prohibited from making campaign contributions. They may petition Congress to redress their grievances. Immigration Voice and its strategic counsel, Patton Boggs, will not make any campaign contributions (hard money) to any Senator or Representative at any level of the US political system with regard to Immigration Voice issues. Immigration Voice and Patton Boggs will not contribute to any Political Action Committee (soft money) at any level with regard to Immigration Voice issues. Immigration Voice’s contract with Patton Boggs specifically states that no money will be given to any office-holder or lawmaker at any level. |
