Default Job code/title on labor app

Hi Guys,

I have EAD/AP and 180 days have passed since I filed for 485. To obtain the job code and job title on my labor application I downloaded the database for labor apps from http://www.flcdatacenter.com/CasePerm.aspx.

I found the record for my application using company name and priority date. Then I looked up the OCC_Title, which was "Electronics Engineer Except Computer".
But the job title entered on my labor application is Software Engineer and all the other details (job desc, experience, education) are related to Software Engineer job.

Should I be worried?

Sorry for hijacking this thread but I have a similar issue. My labor which was filed in 2004 does not seem to be in the database. I can see some other labors from my company and their receipt numbers are similar to mine that I got from my lawyer. Is this possible that some of the labors might be missing from this Data base? Please let me know.

I thougth I was the only one...my labour is filed as a mechanical engineer while I am into telecom...my attorney says its a non issue. But I think it might be problematic during AC21. Any one who used AC21 under similar circumstances...??

Today I got a copy of the labor app filed by the lawyer and it has "Software Engineer" as the job title. Also rest of the app has details (job description, educational details) pertaining to a software engineer job.

On page 1 at the bottom section, reserved for government, the OCC_Title is "Electronics Engineer Except Computer". It seems like the OCC_Title and OCC_Code are written by the approver (USCIS) and he might have made a mistake.

Should I be worried? My lawyer says no.

Does anybody else is in the same boat or have any suggestion?

Look at the job code and not the job title...My lawyer used the job code to match the new job....

What I have on my approval is

(1) on the first page, there is a letter explaining the approval and on the top RHS, I have this

Occuptation: Computer Software Engineer, Systems Software, 15-1032

Same info also listed in Bottom RHS of page 1, below 16 & 17

My job title in page 1, Field 9 says software engineer.

I tried to find this on flcdatacenter website and I never found this information.

Generally Title can differ from company to company and as long as the job duties are similar, proper adjudication will determine that the OCC code of past and new employment is same. Makes sense?

my labour is 15-1031 and what i do 15-1061

can't use AC21 because they will deny GC

get same job code/description as mentioned in Labour Cert from new employer and switch to AC21 ...no issues

CORE IV is working on this issue of same/similar job issues ..once resolved
then we can work on any job under sub code 15 like 31/32/61

skalra is on a distinguished road
Default I got it changed from 17-xyz to 15-abc in 2006

- My LC was also messed up by BEC in PA
--- Even though all info, job desc and my education was in CS and correct on LC app, BEC approved it with a 17-xyz series NOC code which is for Mechanical Engineers

- My lawyer said it wont be a problem, but I insisted on getting it changed, and we sent LC back to BEC
--- BEC got back to my LC at the end, when they were ready to close the centers and finally fixed the code to 15-abc series for CS. So it took more than a year for them to fix it

- My 140 is still pending

Default Please help..

I am a programmer analyst in Java,j2ee area working for a desi consultant for past 8 years.

I have my ead approved last september and i got a new job offer for a permenent position from a reputed company.

The company that has decided to give me an offer asked me to contact their attorney to discuss about my ead situation.

In my LC which is approved by Dallas backlog center the occupational description says "programmer engineering and scientific 030162018"

When I looked into the job description it say something like programming for Engineering and scientific problems, but it does say that i will be working with software programmers.

Should I be worried?.

My other question is who assigns this code?. Is it our attorney or the person from backlog center?.

Any of your thoughts or comments will be highly appreciated.
