I have received the same RFE. Looks like it's pretty standard. Hopefully this will be it :-)

Is the DHS thinking that CIR would be passed before Sept 2013 ? Are they planning on implementing the CIR stuff?..... Otherwise, i was not even anticipating my file to be pulled and dusted off.....until 2-3 years from now ( being a Eb3 candidate)

What could be going on? What could the RFE related to?

Thanks in Advance.

Please let us know,RFE details. The dates are moving upto 3 weeks now. They might have opened your case,to prepare it

Thanks for the good wishful thinking. No news yet from attorney. On a side note, even if DHS move by 3 week pd, for each calendar month, it would take around 16 months ( 16 x 3=48 weeks) for the PD processing to reach "DEC 2003".

Just wondering, why would they prepare 16 months in advance.?! .... will follow up with attorney & keep you guys posted.

They have some down time and some new employees have arrived to prepare for CIR rush. RFEs will keep them busy. It will also clean the queue. There are many fraud cases who have not had continuous employment after getting EAD or did not work for the sponsoring employer for at least 6 months. They may be denied now. It is also lesson for all those who thought they are pre-adjudicated and lived a carefree life.

In the News Flash - "Some of the RFE recipients, including dependent family members, are actually required to have work authorization or an employment offer in order to be eligible for I-485 approval."

Did the law change for dependants?

Don't think so. Very confusing indeed. Hope Murthy issues a clarification soon

Default Yes ... tons of EVL,continous empl verifications RFE

Spoke to attorney, Yes, got the same EVL and continoue employment verififications RFE for me and spouse.

DHS needs to clarify how to provide EVL for spouses who are nor employed.

I heard that my attorney alone has received close to 100 RFE for the applicants he has filed in the last decade.

I did not want to sound negative here - but the whole thing seems suspicious here.
Why does USCIS / DHS purposefully ask for EVL, especially for dependants. This is definitely to cause confusion, anxiety and fear.
Many people here while waiting close to a decade might have moved on to other jobs, which is only logical ( Not Fraud). Asking for EVL from I140 employer is definitely an intimidation tactic.
Are they expecting some of us will just give up and leave and there by free up numbers? This is getting frustrated.
And BTW.. most of the people impacted are from one country.

Did you receive EVL RFE before? I had RFE in 2009 requesting EVL. just wondering if there will be another EVL RFE again.

My PD is May 2003

Thx

Looks like they fixed it. "Some of the RFE recipients, including dependent family members, are not actually required to have work authorization or an employment offer in order to be eligible for I-485 approval."
