[quote=sanojkumar;3561106]My EB2 got approved in Jul 2012 and sent an email to NSC to interlink and adjudicate my case on Sep 24th last month. Got this response in email: Do I need to do anything else?

Good afternoon,

A request has been submitted asking to have your files forwarded to a supervisor for review and assignment to an officer. We have no specific time frame as to how long this might take. If you do not receive a notice of action or other information on your case within 60 days from the date of this message, please contact us for updates.

The National Customer Service Center's toll free number is 1-800-375-5283 or you may access the USCIS website at USCIS Home Page should you have any further questions or need additional information.

Regards,
USCIS Nebraska Service Center

You can open an SR, wait 2 weeks and then ask your congressman/women or senator for an enquiry.

no point opening SR and calling senator when all visa numbers are used up. just wait till end of october by which time uscis will assign visa numbers to applications with current priority dates.

485 RFE was asking for a EVL- Employment verification letter from employer - letter needed to say "The employer intends to keep employing the employee", date of hire, position and job description. RFE also asked for proof of continuous employment verification- so some H1/EAD Copies from some years.

SanojKumar: You need to wait for atleast 2 weeks to allow them to recieve and work on the interfiling request, after which you can open an SR - I waited 150 days, ofcourse the dates were not current, so I had to wait.

Default Thank God 4 sweet October

Congrats.. The Green Card after such a long wait must feel really sweet, even though it was expected.
BTW I am in the same boat but with PD of May 04. I got my CPO text on 2nd and GC in the mail on 6th.
Started porting process Sept last year, and got the GC in about an year with 6 month USCIS EB2 shutdown.
It's still sinking in.. Just feeling good that I am not H1B anymore after so many extensions.
I don't have a list of todo after getting a GC, but will change the job after 6 months and go work in a McDonald part time just because I can...

Default Congrats Amit ! Another porting success !

Porting is the way to go for retrogressed Indian folks . Year 2011 was marked as "Year of Porting" for many 2002-2007 Asian-Indians. There are some risks and chances but the reward is good !!

But these days even EB2-I is choked up to SEP 2004. In 2011 they were opened up till 2009 in EB2-I .... That is very sad news.

Bang, Here are my details ala amitjoy

######################
Started Labor (standard, not PERM) in May 2004,
Labor approved 2006.
I140 filed and approved 2006,
VISA GATE -filed 485.

Started EB2 Labor in PERM- Sept 2011.
Labor approved Dec 2011
Filed I140 eb2. Feb 2012 in regular processing, approved May 2012.
Porting request sent with application of new EB2 I-140, the approval reflected ported 2004 PD.

Sent Interfile request in May.
Unfortunately EB2 VISAS Exhausted for entire summer, dates were current in May, but they had exhausted all numbers.
Applied wife's I485 in May. (Got married after VisaGate)

In 6 months hiatus, my I485 application traveled from Texas center to Nebraska Center.
Recieved an RFE in Sept asking if I want to stick to EB3 category or switch to EB2 as I have both approved I140. Replied saying hell yeah, EB2.
Recieved Green Card as soon as the visa numbers opened up in October.

NOTE: One thing I learned, and would want any porter to remember is that please note who is ur representative in your I485 case. If you applied I485 with the previous employer, then their attorney had the legal right to represent you till you were employed with old employer. After you leave that company to port your EB category, you most likely leave that attorney as well, and that attorney lets USCIS know that you are the point of contact pertaining to anything regarding your I485 case going forward.
Your new attorney in the new company takes over your new GC process and represents you for labor and I140. When the time comes for the interfiling request, some time you will let your lawyer file the interfiling request.
My experience was that in the scenario when you are the representative for your I485, and your new lawyer is for your new I140, then it should be you who files that interfiling request to USCIS, not your new lawyer.
In any such case USCIS will likely ignore any communication (including interfile request) from your lawyer regarding your I485, unless you legally hire them to represent your old I485 by sending letter to USCIS.
Just a thing to keep in mind.
Mine worked out perfectly as they sent an RFE asking me the EB3-> EB2 question so I was assured that they had interfiled my case.

Good luck to one and all..
