Default nice one but hoping for a real answer

hi there
thanks for the humorous responses. atleast they gave me some stress relief. everytime there is a visa bulletin movement beyond my priority date, it always causes anxiety. the fact that 2005 and 2006 people got their green cards in last year's mess made me lose complete hope on the system. the fact that the bulletin does not stay in a place for long enough to contest in court is also discouraging. so i am not sure what else i have left that i can do other than relying on some guru's prediction. i know that there is no exact answer but some scientific response (not as technical as the ones above) that is reasonably comprehendable would make it worth the post and will hopefullly relieve my stress.
thanks for the cool responses.

Default I am still waiting

I have a PD of April 04 ....still waiting. All I can say that it is all lottery. Nobody has will or honesty or conscience to pick up the case even if your PD is quite old. If you are lucky and their file happens to get stumbled into the IO hands, you will get it.

Default There is no way to predict the timelines...

Without knowing the available visa numbers and the process USCIS follows to adjudicate cases, your guess is as good as mine. Only if your PD stays current for 6+ months continuously, there is a chance of getting the GC. Prior to that, its all a lottery, just with slightly better odds. Good luck!

I too have April 04 PD. My I-140 took more than 2 years to get approved. So with USCIS it's all about LUCK

Hopefully we would all cross this hurdle some day!

My PD is Jul 2004 and still waiting. Today i called TSC and checked about my RD as mine is one of those cases where TSC shipped case to Vermont for data entry and Vermont transferred back to TSC on Oct 10, the TSC rep said in their system the RD is Oct 10, 2007 and that is what they will go by. I insisted that the receipts i have indicate Aug 3, 2007 as receipt date but the TSC lady said we will go by Oct 10, 2007 and I am at liberty to do whatever i want to challenge that.
If they go by RD than i am sure people with PD after me will get approved like last year.

Anyone in same boat? What actions you took?

Mine was received in TSC on Julyl 20th, 2007 was there for a year. Sometime in 2008 ( I think in July, 2008) , it was transferred to CSC and then after a couple of months, transferred back to TSC. If they go by that logic, then my received date will be Sept. 2008. I think USCIS is crazy.

I am in the same boat. Not sure if my case was transferred to and from between TSC and Vermont, but my Aug 13th RD has an Oct 9th ND. I will speak to a Customer Service rep in couple days. But we all know how USCIS works, and I am not sure we can do anything about this. Lots of people with PD after me have been approved in the past, and the same will happen in September too...Let me know if you find out any way to get this processed in the order of RD.

hi there
any insights into the donor forum thread - tips to get green card and handling complex issues with ease. it is kind of unfair to push such information only to select few, but then i can understand the need to do that. hope there is some one who can share that with us.
thanks

We are all in the same boat. My 485 was moved from NSC to TSC during Oct 2008. Does that mean my RD is Oct 21 2008.
