Sorry, but i don't think anybody gets a GC in this country that easily, they want you to grovel and beg relentlessly, shamelessly till you tire out, reach the zenith of frustration, or are stressed out enough that you dont care anymore.
Sorry to be so pessimistic, but that is the reality , After all nobody asked us to come here right ??

Really, noone asked?

Try telling that to the star employees at Google that are cream of the crop. Try telling that to the CEO of Intel about their top chip design engineers in Silicon valley, try telling that to citizens in rural Kansas who have a Doctor to see them due to the Conrad 30 J1 physician waiver program, try telling that to..................

Please don't project your negativity about the worth of EB immigrants onto others. Many EB immigrants humbly fill a needed void, don't confuse that with the rest.

You missed my sarcasm my friend, the EB community breaks their back to work, but is the American public respecting your contribution ?, are you aware of programmer's guild ?, they are anti h1 b.
Do you feel respected in US for your contribution ?, i dont because i find it hard to make any commitments or settle here due to the GC limbo.

the programmers guild is nothing but an anti-immigrant organization in the garb of an economic protectionist fringe group. their intellectual advisors such as norman matloff are openly provided platforms by known antis such as NumbersUSA

My guess is this bill might be put in the back burner as both parties might not want to burn fingers over the immigration oven atleast until after the elections !

I think still most the of the waiting time are ok except India and China Eb3. Getting GC in 2 to 3 years for Indian EB2 is not bad.

I am here from 2003 PD of 2004 and I had a friend who is here from 2002 PD of 2003 and still both are waiting for GC. Working for the same company for last 5 years. So, moral of the story is that not all EB2-I get GC in two to three years. Take out the exception's of 2006 cases which got processed. But, many in this forum are still waiting for approval and are in this county for last five years.

Grass on the other side is not always greener.

Just my opinion.

Default This Bill Seems to be Pass...

Hello All,

I am giving this information after my cousin complete the interview with USCIS on 09/03/2008. Please take a look at the detail conversation bellow.

IO: Immigration Officer
MC: My Cousin
MCL: My Cousin Lawyer

IO: We are not able to verify your finger prints. That’s the reason we called you for the personal interview.

MC: I am ready to give right away.

IO: No your finger print images not at all visible. There is no way we can check your Criminal background.

MC: Is there any other alternate solution for this …? If so please advice.

IO: Yes…You have to submit local county police clearance certificates from past 3 years with in 30 days.

MC: Can you increase the time…? 30 days might be not sufficient for me to collect all the information

IO: Sure…Make sure you submit with in 45 days. Thank you.

MC: Can I ask one question…?

IO: Sure….

MC: I applied my GC in 2003. Almost 5 years completed…Now I have problems with my finger prints. What else I need to do for the getting the approval on GC

IO: Don’t worry…Submit the Police clearance certificates…We will approve your GC soon. With out verifying I can’t approve...If I approve… I will loose my Job…

MCL: Well ….My Client PD is Dec 2003 EB3-INDIA. Visa numbers are not available at this time why you are asking to submit police clearance certificates with 45 days…? And once we submit how you will approve my Client GC without VISA numbers available…?

IO: Good question….All EB Visa Numbers will current in coming 2 months. That’s all I can say. There is some process going on to collect some unused visa numbers….I don’t know what exactly going on…But I can say with in 2 months EB Visa numbers will current.

MCL: Oh that’s great News…

IO: Yes it is…

MC & MCL: Ok thank you for your time and we will submit police clearance certificates with in 45 days.

IO: That’s good…You are all set to go now. Thank you.

Based on above conversations I am saying…Please do not abuse me if it’s not going to be happened in 2 months. I am just sharing my cousin Interview details. I am also EB3-I 2004. I wish and Pray to GOD to make IO comment come true. Thank you.

Sreedhar,

Thank you for sharing the experience and let's pray and wait for the best for all of us. I am really happy to hear about EB3 that they may have chance to become current (I am EB2) as all of us have suffered enough.
