Default H1b Renewal

Guys,

I need some advice. My current H1b status expires on 09/24/08 and my new H1b period starts from 09/26/08. However, my current I-94 (one in the passport) is valid till 09/25/08. So, my attorney says that I am eligible to work on 09/25/08 but I am not sure whether I am eligible to work on that date. Should I just take a day off (but again I think I cannot take paid vacation). Have anyone had this situation in the past? Will it have any problem in the future GC process?

Thanks.

Default Approved H1B revoked

I applied for my H1b renewal and by error the lawyer submitted a cashiers check which I had given him an year ago for I 140 premium processing to USCIS. Uscis approved my extension in 3 days and later realized that the check was not valid(It becomes void after 90 days of issuance). The online status was updated to insufficient funds.. and a notice will be sent etc etc...

I told my company about this and they said they will make the required payment. But today I saw this message. Does this mean that my case is revoked now? And what are further consequences? Will it be approved again? Gurus please help...

On <xx date>, the approval of this case I129, PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER, was revoked because you did not resubmit payment within 14 days to correct the insufficient funds notice. The 14 days have passed and the deficiency has not been corrected. Accordingly, the approval was revoked. Please follow the instructions on the notice, revoking the approval, denying the case, and explaining the steps you must take to avoid legal action for this debt. If you do not receive this notice within 30 days from September 3, 2008, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance

Default mULTIPLE H1 Transfer situation.. pLEASE hELP...

Hi.

I got to know about IV.. I hv heard a lot about the great work you guys are doing... my friend suggested that this group can suggest multiple alternatives for my situation.. so please help.

I am in a very typical situation.. (I am also sure that many of you would have also gone through the same situation). I need some help deal with my visa situation.

Situation:
I have got an offer from company B and I am starting with them on 9/8. They sent my H1 transfer papers to USCIS last week (received by USCIS on 9/1).

Now as I was looking for job, I have received another offer from company C which I am really really interested in (as both work and company are better). The problem I am facing is that company B has applied for the transfer under normal processing and I won't have any h1 transfer for another couple of months. Per the policy of company B, they do not do premium processing.

and now since I want to join company C, I have these questions.

1. How should I go about this situation to join company C?
2. If I say yes to company C, which I really want, which previous employer's pay stubs should I submit? Company B would not be giving me the pay stubs before end of this month or early next month.
3. Could I pay myself and get the H1 transfer through company B expedited through premium processing or does it need to go through a lawyer only? Also I won't be having any pay stubs from the company B until next month....
4. Would it have any effect in my gc process at any point...
5. Should I go ahead and submit the papers to company C based on my original employer (company A).. all the pay stubs, i-797 etc... Are there any complications in this?

please help.. I am not sure even if I am able to see all the complication for my status in this situation..
Could you also help me understand if I am missing anything...

thanks in advance.
