Default I140 Approved. Visa Stamping for different employer in 7th year

I have a approved I140 (from a consulting company). My 7th year extension is for different employer who hasn't started my GC process yet. Old employer will most probably not revoke I140. Is it safe to go for visa stamping considering I am in 7th year of H1b, my I140 is for old employer and my new employer hasn't started the GC process yet?

Your I40 from a different company has no bearing on your H1B. Just go with the facts and come back with a VISA. If they ask just tell them you have an offer with this new company and you will work for them.
