In NJ there is no doctor who charges less than $185.
Dr. Lawrie Friedman

I wrongly put $ 75/- which I have changed to $ 91/- to my previous post. Anyway, For my family (Myself + My wife + (2 kids with age below 14)) Total credit card payment was $ 365/-. For myself and my wife HIV,Tetanus and TB test were taken. For kids, Tetanus and TB Test were taken. As I mentioned I already planned ahead for our MMR record for myself and my wife. Kids already had perfect vaccination record. Probably Vericila is not mandatory. For adults MMR, HIV and TB tests are the mandatory ones.

Angry Town North Medical Clinic - Austin, TX - Medical test fee

Could someone let me know how much you paid at this clinic for Medical checkup and immunization shots.

For me they charged as below,

Medical & Blood test - 225$
MMR - 115$
Td - 115$
Vericella - 115$

They also asked us to take Hepatitis blood test which cost 80$

Hepatitis shot - 115$

Total = 765$ for one person

They do not accept medical insurance, for me and my wife I paid 1530$.

After completing all these shots they gave us the sealed envelop, and a copy of I-693 (Green color - Applicant's copy).

Under remarks it says:

The applicant hasn't met all the recommended vaccines; thus, I have encouraged to continue or follow-up with the additional doeses. He is fully aware and will proceed.

Further they put us on a schedule (Texas Health Department - Immunization Division) which involves taking,

2 more hepatitis shot
2 more Td
1 more MMR
1 more Varicella

Which is going to cost 690$ more. Which would be 765$ + 690$ = 1455$ / person.

They say that INS while calling for interview will ask for the immunization record, and all the above shots should be upto date by then.

I saw many people from Austin going to this clinic (Near Hongkong Market) and I would like to know if everyone paid the same.

Thanks.

[quote=masterji]What does the doctor charge for medical exam?

MASTERJI,
IF YOU ARE IN THE BAY AREA (CA), then go to uscisdoctor.com. This doc will charge ~$200.00 for everything (Includes physical exam, vaccination, tb test and blood work).

I didnt find any cheaper than this.

Default Doc Expenses

We have been to a doc in PA
Shots & all the test no X-Ray: $400 x 2 adults (myself and spouse).
Did this in a hurry to facilitate attorney to send I-485 and deliver to USCIS on July 2nd.

I saw some great deal of info and ideas from IV ers on saving few bucks with proper planning! Will keep in mind next time if needed.

Default Doctor Fee

My doctor charged $180/- for each person for all type of tests like MMR etc , required for GC ( in Fremont CA). If TB test is positive, for X-ray $50/- extra. $ 180 paid in cash only.

I went to my Family Doctor who takes insurance so nothing is charged for MMR, Vericella, Tetnus, X-Ray.

Civil Surgeon charged $145/Person (That coverered Sealed Envelope, HIV etc). So my pocket expense is 290 of family.

I think you guys did not confirm with your family doctor for those shots. Those shots should be 100% covered as those are preventive action.

you paid too much..way too much..

they shouldnt have tested you for hepatitis...you probably never had hep B vaccine...

insurance companies pay about 1/3rd of that to physicians....i dont know if you can do anything about it now...get rest of the shots somewhere else...

not sure if you needed hepatitis vaccine at all
