Sen Reid is a big supporter of CIR. Not sure if he would let any piece meal bill to come on the senate floor.

Well here is some news today...

Sean Hannity, John Boehner say GOP should tackle immigration reform | The Ticket - Yahoo! News

Republicans are turning pro to Immigration. But heck, you see what, they all talk about Illegal immigration, not even a dime about legal immigration. Not sure if they are completely blind on legal immigration or they are not aware of such thing as legal immigration "issues".

As Pappu said, may be its our fault not making enough noise, not making us heard about our problems?

Straight from the Horses Mouth:

Fixing the Immigration System for America’s 21st Century Economy | The White House

Check Out the Blue Print for Immigration Reform:
http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/defa..._blueprint.pdf

It includes talk about Eb5/H1B/etc but no talk of EB2 or INDO-CHINA's Long lines.

Also checkout this one from USCIS-Program to help Permanent Residents prepare for Citizenship:-A 'Great' way to spend my tax dollars.

USCIS - Grant Programs

Either they are deliberately not removing the Bottle Neck to enter the PR system or we are not making ourselves hear LOUD.

Default Piece Meal/Lame Duck

Is IV working on this? Because IR will take years to pass.

Is there any IV short-term directive to get behind this particular approach for hr3012 passed as a piece meal in next couple months?

I guess we should not bring CIR to spotlight here. Its long been done before.
Now we should all channel our focus on HR3012. Love to hear some news/direction on this from IV core.

Why do we/IV think that Congress or Senate will Act on HR 3012 when everyone in the country is talking about CIR. (Watch the republicans after the elections).

HR 3012 is great but if it is not the theme of the day/Politicians , then our best chance to reach the goal is to try the additional path of taking the CIR and try to include the objectives of HR 3012 in it.
