Default Do i have to work with GC-sponsoring employer after getting GC?

I filed my I140 and I485 with Employer A (GC-sponsoring employer) on dec 2004. I got my I140 on April 2005. I got my EAD on June 2007 and I moved to employer B on Sep 2007. Question 1 is, do i have to work with employer A 180 days on EAD before changing to employer B? Question 2 is, Do i have to work with Employer A(GC-sponsoring employer) after getting the GC. If so, when should i get into his payroll.

Default both are no

1. with EAD you may work for any employer or any number of employers. AC21 can be invoked after 180 days after 485 date.

2. Some employer should have an opening for the job (very similar to) advertised during the LC process when 485 is being adjudicated

Thanks for your reply. You have answered my first question but i want to know if i have to work with GC-sponsoring (i.e employer A) employer after getting GC. I have changed employer using AC21 from employer A to employer B. Now, who is my GC-sponsoring employer ( employer A or employer B)? With whom should i work for 6 or more months after getting GC?

Default Changing Jobs

Can I go for interview before six months and join new job in similar field after six months?

How do you use AC21?

Thanks,

Situation:

Have EAD.

Have completed 180 days after receipt date, with the sponsoring company.

Now after 180 days after I485 receipt, I have no job to go to immediately.

Question : Am I still in legal status ?

Since you have changed the employer using AC21, that mean you are free from the sponsoring employer. now the GC process is totally yours and the sponsoring employer has nothing to do with it. so you dont have to work for employer A even after your GC approval.

Could you please kindly clarify if I still need a sponsor for the following stages (e. g. EAD renewal), i. e. if the new company I join needs to agree to continue sponsoring my application?

Thanks!

You need a job offer for a "similar" position by the time USCIS gets to adjudicating your 485
