Default Can overlapping end date and start dates in employments

I am on H1B visa. My current employer is starting green card process. One of my previous employer (say A) quoted as 31st of a month as my last date in the employment letter, while my start date of next employment (say employer B) was 21st of the same month (which is quoted in the letter from Employer B. Employer A pays for full month irrespective of when an employee leaves the company during that month. Would this be a problem in green card process?
