Default Unbelievable--Is this the approval for GC????

I have the following for my 485 update

"Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Document mailed to applicant.

On September 19, 2007 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service."
================================================== ========

Situation: Well, I did not receive any 485 document within 30 days as indicated on 485 update, so I called the USCIS folks (a lady), and was told that this in fact may be the GC, and that I might have to fill in the the I-90 form. Of course I didn't believe her and called USCIS again after 30 minutes. This time I was told that they didn't know what the document was, but will mail be a duplicate document within 30 days.

Question: 1) Does anyone have a similar Current Status for 485?
2) Does anyone know what this document could be?

Thank you
I am July 2nd filer, and have gotten my EAD, Payroll, and fingerprinting.

Default I don't know if it is?

Deb, I don't know if it is approved, and that was the question I had in my email if anyone had similar experience with the 485 Status. Sanjay

485 status - Rotting in NSC with a single RFE
Lost H1, working on EAD. Invoked AC21 twice.
Attended DC Rally and contributed to IV many times.
Renewed EAD 3 times and AP 4 times
Total cost from the H1 days (new h1, extension, ead, ap, 140, 485 etc - $22000)
Total cost if I had bought a labor certification those days and having a GC by now - $15000
Not knowing if GC is this worth - Priceless.

Did you go ahead with this labor substitution with 1999 PD?
http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/sh...&postcount=361

If not, what is your PD?

Default Applied fresh

No, I didn't go with the labor substitution.

My PD is Feb 2006, and I filed for 485 on July 2nd, 2007.

I received my EAD, Payroll, and fingerprinting.

What I wanted to find out if anyone else got a similar update for their 485 or if anyone knew what the following statement meant:
================================================== =======
"Current Status: Document mailed to applicant.

On September 19, 2007 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service."

Normally this status will be for those who didn't have their Finger Prints recorded properly. So it might be another FP request. For GC Approval, I never heard of such status.

So USCIS gave you a payroll also? I would gladly take the payroll instead of the Green Card. I guess you meant Advanced Parole

Default Thank you

Thank you all for your input/help. I presume this might be a unique situation. But I will surely let you folks know when and if I get an update from USCIS.
