Thanks Alex.

For EB2-I CY 2007 the document is showing only 2,830 !!

Can't the DOS double check the numbers before posting ? !!!

What a shoddy job they are doing ?!!!!!

Default Will there be EB3 movement in MAY ?

The document does not state how many were USED this year, so its hard to tell if there will be any movement in EB2/3 dates.

what do they mean by CY2007? Does it mean before Jan 1st 2008 or before Jan 1st 2007?

As someone already pointed out, This report is completely wrong. For comparison

EB2 India Cumilative demand prior to 2006 9975, Now if you look at the number of pending I-485 applications pending for 2006 from uscis report

http://www.uscis.gov/USCIS/Green%20C...203-8-2010.pdf

it shows just for 2006 pending I-485 apps is 18,595

Now I am wondering where is DOS getting their numbers as it doesn't make any sense et all.

In that case, arent the numbers very low? Like newbie2020 posted below, USCIS has very different numbers.

Does this mean that these numbers are what the DOS sees as demand? meaning, those are the number of pre-adjudicated apps that the USCIS has communicated to DOS as demand? This is getting interesting.

When we are talking Demand prior to 2006, you need to look at all pending in 2005 and lower.

Which is 10,120 + 307+ 144 + 70+...=10,680 (as per pending I-485 inventory for India EB-2 as of March 08, 2010)

Cumulative demand before CY 2006 = 9,900 (as per demand data used for April cut-off based on data of March 01, 2010)

There is a difference of 10,680-9900 = 780 between USCIS I-485 data and DOS demand

While there is surely a typo (showing 2830 for India for CY2007; should be around 28,300, think they missed a 0), I am interpreting the numbers differently here:

CY2006 means - demand upto Jan 1st 2006 . CY2007 means upto Jan 1st 2007 and so on.

This adds up to USCIS numbers better ..

So India EB2 for example, USCIS claims upto Jan 1st 2006, demand is ~10,000+ and DOS shows those as 9975 which is reasonable.

can EB2 India or china get any number of visas per year(depending on the fall down from EB1)? or is there a limit to that? So even if there's a total of 50,000 available(after eb2 ROW is satisfied and the fall down from EB1), can all the visas be issued to India and China or is there a per country limit there?

Arrow quick question...

is it a safe assumption: That, if there are 12500 EB2 visas available this month/look-ahead for DOS then DOS can move the dates to dec 06?

totally agree. This data is full of mistakes. Its a waste of time to use this data for any kind of analysis.
