Change the Poll options 'Check boxes' to 'Radio Button'.
One can choose all three in a single vote.

well Tea/coffee meet is just for name sake... if we are intersted we can have a happy hour?

akhilmahajan 08-03-2007 10:21 AM

Whats the status.

Guys/Gals,

so whats the status of the Tea/Happy hour party. I will say if families are going to come along then Happy hour does not makes sense. We can meet up on a saturday or sunday. Just my 2 cents.

I had this poll for 3 days, just to get more members to decide if they can meet on any weekend.

seems like 11 is a good no to start with. i agree with you that if we are coming with families Happy hour is not a conducive environment.

i will start looking for some venues... i will be glad if people local/close by to Boston area can suggest some good place to meet.

Quincy Market

Quincy Market at HayMarket near Financial district Downtown will be a good place to meet. I prefer to meet on Friday evening. I would suggest to meet only with members and no families.

I agree with this venue... i would like to see if all members feel the same abt meeting with members Only or along with Family.

personally i would like to meet with Family. (but thats just my opinion).

akhilmahajan 08-03-2007 03:15 PM

I will say let it be members choice...

I will say let it be members choice, but the veneue should be chosen assuming families will be coming. Quincy market is a good place.

vasa 08-03-2007 03:31 PM

Can we do it a Roxy?..nice big club

Perhaps we can later dance as well. We've been dancing onto USCIS/Employer's tunes uptill now, so this would be a good change.

KanME 08-03-2007 06:48 PM

I wont mind doing that... but u have to be considerate off members with families (including kids).

vasa 08-03-2007 06:59 PM

Meeting Schedule

here's the plan
meet @quincy market (*HayMarket) with families @ 6:00 PM Friday August 10th.
we can have some coffee/supper/talks and will wind by lets say 8:00 PM, so that people coming from NH/ME can still get to home at decent time.?

i would like to set an agenda for some talks...

thoughts/suggestions?

Great stuff, it was glad to have you in the NY meet too. You have a great attitude. This must help more and more members to mobilize

vasa 08-07-2007 11:22 AM

Is there any member who is close to Boston, and can recommend a place where to meet at Qunicy Market.
I am coming from Portland Maine, and would be most likely there by 6:00 Pm, i would request any member who is attending to be there arnd 6, just in case if i am late in traffic.

Thanks

deardar 08-07-2007 11:41 AM

please be adviced

Sir,
Please be adviced that Friday commute to this place can be really awful. Especially people getting into and out of the Boston metro area + the RED Socks games. Its good for you if you can park your vehicle at any commuter station or any subway station away from the city like Orange line and then get into the city, parking can be a test of patience test. There are chances of thunderstroms too.

All this information is just to prepare well. not to discourage .

vasa 08-07-2007 11:45 AM

I just checked there is no RED SOX game that day, i agree that commute could bre really rough, but was of opinion that people will be coming out of city and not going into... again i am not from that area, and would like an opinion from people to see if we need to reschedule time and or day?

Thanks

akhilmahajan 08-07-2007 11:46 AM

can we get a final approval from ppl....

Friday commute is going to be really hard.
i just want to make sure that a lot of ppl can make to it.

i am new in boston and live in norwood. can anyone suggest me which train to take to boston.

I have always driven to boston, but friday will like to use the train.

mbawa2574 08-07-2007 11:51 AM

Why not something out of boston city ?

Means something in Boston Suburbs will make more sense to avoid traffic. Whatever North,South, East or West. Let's put together a happy hour ? Won't that be a better idea to discuss the stratergy ???

deardar 08-07-2007 11:52 AM

From Desi(windsor) gardens take the commuter to South station, get down and take the subway, ask the MBTA personal on how to get to aquarium station or state street station, both of them are walkable to the venue.

akhilmahajan 08-07-2007 11:54 AM

u r right....

deardar 08-07-2007 11:57 AM

how about Burlington Mall ?;)

vasa 08-07-2007 01:01 PM

DESTINATION for Boston Meet

I think Burlington Mall will be good, not too far from people that are near to Boston city or NH or ME, little more distance for people from CT/RI.

Lets keep the date... :)
BURLINGTON MALL/BURLINGTON/6:00 PM.

EndlessWait 08-07-2007 01:05 PM

sure we will come..burlington mall

food court area or something?

coming with wife + friends

vasa 08-07-2007 01:07 PM

Yes Food Court, i will be in with my wife and kids

EndlessWait 08-07-2007 01:08 PM

Lets keep it on Saturday Agust 11th

Weekday is very difficult for lot of folks..Any place is fine..

vasa 08-07-2007 01:14 PM

DATE: August 10th Friday at 6:00 Om (i forgot to post the date in my last port). I hope friday is GOOD for everyone?

I am not sure changing date/time will be a good idea right now... unless we have an overwhelming majority that have issues with Friday.
