Default EAD Appn. - Next Step - No Receipt, Check not cleared

I have applied to AZ lock box. It was delivered on Mar 29. I am slowly moving towards 30 days, when I should start contacting USCIS.

But wanted to check, what are the options I have.

- In order to avoid delays due to something lost in USCIS, can I apply again? I mean applying in duplicate.
- How to follow-up with USCIS to trace the application?

Should I be worried (of course I am worried)? But what are the chances that mail is not lost - and so I'll get receipt notice and the check would be cleared. I would like to hear from people, who got receipt after 30 days.

Thanks.

Thanks redgreen. But:

Priority dates are not current for me. Also there are no LUDs.

So chances of GC is very rare. It would be safe for me to assume lost/misplaced case and prepare for that.

Hi Dhundhu,

I read many ur posts in past and hypothetically know for more than a year..
It is surprising that many people are complaining about lock box situation and checks are not getting cached etc..

I will recommend you to call and explain ur situation...let customer service make a recommending about filing again etc...since there is only 120 days and u r already lost 30...
u may get a nice person on phone

I am getting a sense that people doing efiling are having better luck now compare to earlier paper filing was better...

I also have to do EAD renewal and getting inclined toward efiling..do u know in case efiling.... one has to go for finger printing?

Thank you and good luck

Hi - I paper filed my I131 (AP) at NSC on Feb 11. Notice date was Mar-24. If it has been more than 30 days after you sent application, then you can contact Customer service, they will put you in touch with I/O.

Hi Sushil,

I think, efiling is better. Earlier, efiling was causing FP notices, but recently I have not heard about it.

When you do eFiling, what do you fill for eVerify, if employer has not done eVerify?

Thanks

Thanks Kshitij. I'll contact USCIS after 30 days(29th) and discuss with them the options.

Good point Willigetgc. Thanks
I want to explore on duplicate filing and if I do, I'll use g-1145. I wasn't aware of this process.

Bumping again: For inputs on "Duplicate Filing" and "How to contact USCIS by phone for this case".

Thanks
