One Texas IV Member contributor (shantanup), One Texas IV member volunteer (Amma) , two friends (Kumon of Plano North East & Om Produce), one family (needhelp!) and tons of work later (and loads of cleanup remaining), the final total of funds raised for IV from this year's Diwali Mela will be $700.

Thank you IV for giving us the opportunity to work for our own cause!

put a banner "30,000 Thankyou for your buy"
put a webcam focusing the customer and make the view available to IVians.

I can't tell which one's right because I never had a chance to step away from the booth but my guess is that it would have been less than last year due to weather and being a Sunday instead of Saturday. Kailash Kher is quite popular so that factor could have trumped over the weather. Who knows!
But it appeared in the local news channels, so it was definitely a big event and all our state chapters should try to get IV some visibility in such events locally.

You will be in charge of doing that.

We definitely need more participation from high skilled community to do low skilled volunteering once a year!

Next time ...
