I am planning to visit India during the first week of November'09. My attorney just sent the application over to TSC.

Would like to know the processing times these days? Do I have to use an infopass to expedite it?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I applied on 8th of August and got the approval on 24th, so approx. 2 weeks. I had applied by paper processing to TSC. But I guess it was faster than normal for me...

Processing times for TSC advance parole show up as April 01, 2009 (5 months).. Glad to know you are getting it so soon. Hope the processing times are outdated and what you are getting is the normal trend.

That is good to know. My lawyer applied for my wife & me on July 6th and i am still waiting to receive the AP approval. It went to Texas.

Not concerned yet but i live in stupid state (FL) which requires that you renew your license every year so will panic as the day of my license expiry comes closer.

Applied by submitting paper application to the TSC. Approval notice received in 2 weeks and the actual AP documents were mailed after a week or so. So 3-4 weeks at most, is what I'd say.

Paraphrase,
I hope you got your AP for your November travel. Applied AP for Primary and Dependant on Aug 10th, Dependant received AP within 20 days, Primary still waiting. Tried Expediting, went for Infopass, contacted Congressman's office....nothing yet. Online system says 'Case received and pending' but IO at Infopass and COngressman say 'Approved and awaiting document printing'. I have to travel in 2 weeks and nothing yet.

Applied on 25 Aug, Sept 27 Approval Email and 1 Oct Physical Approval.

WE had a Issue in AP, As we were applying online, we ( me and my wife) dont have a middle initial and the applicaiton was not getting submitted without it.

So had to call in to raise a ticket and then send in a Explanation

Had Seen Couple of LUD's so think it was due to the ticket and out explanation snail mail.

Hello experts,
here is my situation, I applied AP in 2007 and 2008 and never used it, few months ago when I went to India, I got my H1 stamped, now I am planning to renew my AP is about to expire (my lawyer adviced me to do so), I might change jobs in a few weeks and planning to use EAD and my H1 stamps automatically becomes invalid.

So the questions are: will it be a problem if I apply for AP, will they ask why I used H1 instead to AP to reenter (as part of the docs I will be sending passport and I-94 so they will come to know about my entry).
Has anyone faced similar situation ?

thanks

so when the ap gets renewed, do they check their system to see when the prior one expires and issue this one to begin after that or im retarded in thinking uscis wont penny pinch its customers issuing 10month paroles effectively

happened to me last time I renewed lost 2 months this year waited till the last day of expiration and then applied or else am sure would have ended up being short changed again. same thing with ead last year not only lost a few months but valid for a year only.

I renewed twice and the new AP started the next day of current AP expiration date. I guess I got lucky each time. From what I have noticed, it all depends on the IO who is reviewing your case, in other words, your luck.

I got 2 APs with Continuation of Previous ones! Lost 2 months in one AP when I applied 3 months advance :)

I do not have any plans and just wanted to have it to use when needed. So, I applied the latest one just a week before the previous one expires and approved in 2 weeks time @ TSC

I do not see a definite about this renewal start date.

Hello,

I had recently applied for my AP through my attorney (in turn through snail mail) at Nebraska service center.

I would appreciate if people can post their experience in terms of AP renewal timeline at Nebraska service center.

When I look at USCIS timeline update, it shows 3 months but based on the update on this thread, I am sure it is not taking 3 months. I would appreciate if people can post their AP renewal timeline.

Thanks,

I self applied for my spouse and myself on Oct. 4th online. Both our cases were approved on Oct. 20th and we received the approved copies today by mail. If you discount Oct. 4th (as it was a Sunday), it took 16 days for approval and 10 days to receive the approved AP. On a side note, I had subscribed for text alerts for both our cases and got the approval notification as soon as the case status was updated :-).

Guyd, I efiled AP but somehow did not get a chance to save my efiling receipt PDF... I have received teh receipt notices in snal mail today...but dont have the receipt from when I efiled...I mean teh PDF.

My address to sent documents back was Mesquite Texas but there was something specific...on the address...not sure what?

How can I get that PDF that is generated when u efile as I cannot find the submitted forms anymore in my USCIS efiling account...any help is appreciated, I have emailed e-filing support at USCIS as well...

Well i had the same problem but i was able to recover by going to Internet Explorer Temp folder. You will be able to see the PDF in the Temp folder only if u tried opening it in IE but failed to save it.

Another option is wait for the receipt from USCIS (which take 5 to 7 days). Take a copy of it and attach your documents and send it.

Guys, I would like to visit India later this month for a cousin's wedding (booked tickets to India on 28th of this month). Had neglected to file AP extension earlier and than my lawyer screwed up and delayed it by a month.... Application was mailed on the 16th Oct and received on the 19th (receipt date is 19th Oct). Based on how its worked out for most of you I should be getting my AP soon, but who knows....just keeping my fingers crossed.

Any other path I could pursue to expediate the process? Really need to be in India end of this month...though it cannot really be classified as an emergency.

Apply your AP yourself. I applied mine recently on 25th september and got it on 7th October.

i just returned with 2 days left on my AP and the port officer at Newark, NJ suggested me to to take an Infopass appt and request one.

I had a fun time after applying my I-131 that I wanted to expedite. USCIS conveniently lost my two pictures. The Local office had no clue. They could only see that it has been approved. Then, I waited for one month for the document to be sent them. Nothing came through.... They did not give me any RFE for my pics since it was already sent. They lost the pictures along the line somewhere...and the guys kept quiet... They did not even give any update to the local office about my case... The local office was helpless inspite of their good intentions... When push came to shove ...LAST resort.. Congressman's Office... They found out about this Mess in 4 hours and advised me to send them the pics to their Texas office to a particular individual... In 3 days my I-131 got approved..
Hats of to the Congressman and his Office !!!
My advice... Congressman's Office should be used ONLY if it is absolutely necessary...

1 year from the date of approval

So if you filed lets say 60 days in advance of existing AP's expiry and your renewal got approved in 30 days, you will lose 1 month (since your old and new AP will overlap for next 30 days)

I efilled mine and send documents on 10/21 and i got approved yesterday though i not yet recieved the same.

Looks like those who efiled are getting approved much faster. In our company all immigration matters are handled by our immigration lawyers (Fragomen) and this really seems to have slowed things down further. They sat on it for nearly a month and now my case shows it was received on the 19th of Oct, but hasn't been updated since 10/22 and is still "Initial Review". whereas yours was received after mine and has been approved much faster. I just hope I get in the next 3 weeks, i am thinking of getting a Infopass and head to the local USCIS office in the coming week. Could someone please advise, I really need to be in India at the end of this month. Is it advisable to travel without the AP and have my friend mail them to me by courier to my address in India?

Thanks in advance.

We applied for AP on Aug 25th NSC (paper filed). Got the LIN within 3 days and request for finger printing in 2 weeks. We got finger printing done on OCT 1st. Since then we were in wait and watch moment. We had tickets booked for India for Nov 16th. And to our surprise on NOV 4, IO decided to issue an RFE. We just got online notification that an RFE has been issued but yet to receive the actual reason why. This is very very frustrating.

Can anyone shed some light if interim AP can be applied at the local USCIS office? I have read conflicting stories across and it seems like interim AP has been discontinued (no matter what your reason might be). Anyone?...

AP renewal should not need FP again. Sorry what is SR? Also, I was given the understanding by a lawyer that USCIS may not even speak with you if your date of submission of AP is not within the currently posted timeframe. Going by that, you certainly did well.

Took an Infopass and visited the local office here in San Diego. Though they were nice and polite...a emergency AP can only be issued if some family member is seriously sick and there need's to a doctor's note to that effect. However, he was willing to raise a SR on the case and added a note on the urgency of the AP and if it can be expedited....not sure if that will do any good. Just waiting and hoping for the best.

As I understand its important to have your AP approved before leaving the country. If it has already been approved but you haven't it received it by mail, it should be ok. You could ask a friend to mail it to your address in India and have it with you when you come back to US. Important - your date of exit from the country should be after AP has already been approved and is no longer pending approval.

Hello AndyMajumder / Cool_Desi_GC

Could you please help me out with the option that I need to select for InfoPass appointment for expediting the AP processing?

I selected the option,
"You need Service on a case that has already been filed "
Once I selected that, it takes me to the next page that has 4 options.
1. Order from Immigration Court
2. Case Processing Appointment
3. EAD inquiry appointment
4. Case Services follow-up appointment

Looking at the options, I would imagine option - 4 looks more relevant ...But it also says the following.
"If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment."

I have two questions.

1. Which option did u guys select, to setup InfoPass appointment for expediting AP processing?

2. If the option is 4, then, what is the Service Request ID number that its referring to?

Thanks much for all the info.

Regarding my case, I procrastinated the AP application and finally my attorney applied on October 20th...My I-131 notice date is, October 21st...I am planning for my India visit on November 27th and was wondering whether is there a realistic chance to get my AP approval before November 27th...I really do not have any pressing emergency but I am going to try my luck by requesting a InfoPass appointment...Keeping my fingers crossed...

Thanks,

Hello AndyMajumder / Cool_Desi_GC

Could you please help me out with the option that I need to select for InfoPass appointment for expediting the AP processing?

I selected the option,
"You need Service on a case that has already been filed "
Once I selected that, it takes me to the next page that has 4 options.
1. Order from Immigration Court
2. Case Processing Appointment
3. EAD inquiry appointment
4. Case Services follow-up appointment

Looking at the options, I would imagine option - 4 looks more relevant ...But it also says the following.

When choosing the "Kind of service you need" for the Infopass, select - You need information or other services.

Thats what I did to setup my Infopass. I am in almost the exact same boat as you, my receipt date is 10/19 and I am supposed to leave for India on the 28th of this month. With regards to your chances, I really don't know... a lot of people seems to have gotten their AP approved in 2 weeks and some even in 1 week. Last year my renewal was approved in 3 weeks, though I was not traveling anywhere. In fact Cool_desi_GC's receipt date was the same as your 10/21 and he's has been approved. So there is a realistic chance it will get approved or should get approved before the 27th, but as with immigration services you never know untill its actually approved - USCIS is never consistent - some people get their's approved in a week, but it could take 3 months too.....

I have been trying to get by AP expedited which is pending for sometime now (as mentioned in the thread earlier). Got a Infopass last Tuesday and they generated a service request - stating that I needed to go to India at the end of this month. Since than - (Wednesday was closed I guess due to Veteran's day) and on Thursday and today i.e. 11/12 and 11/13 there have been LUDs on my case as seen online. This is my third renewal and I don't need any FP I guess, AP renewal should be simple and ideally should take a few mins or maybe half hour for the guy after he opens my file. I am wondering whats happening - LUDs on consecutive days so far, yet the status of the case remains Initial Review.

I am wondering if some of you have had similar experience\observations since many of you were closely monitoring your case status for AP renewal as well. Please share your comments and insight...

Many thanks.

I had applied for my AP on september 11 2009 at TSC. I recieved a receipt and I am waiting for approval since then. I am planning to travel out of country on 17th november 2009.

1. Do i need to cancel my tickets ?
2. Can I travel and ask someone to post the approved AP to my india address ?
3. Is there any chance that I may get biometrics notice during my travel (ITs already past 60 days) ?
4. In the worst case can I get H4 stamp (my husband is holding H1) and come back and start working on EAD ?

What are my options ? Any input will be appreciated.;

I don't think you should travel outside the country when your AP is pending. This is really unfortunate, since there are a lot of people who applied after you and have already received their AP. You can travel if your AP is approved prior to departure and than you can have them mailed to India after they arrive at your place (can ask a friend to do that). But, if your AP is not approved by the next Monday, I don't think you should travel.

This is what I know....but I am not a lawyer and this is not a legal advise

Andy -

I had applied AP renewal for myself and my spouse and EAD renewal for my spouse, through our attorney...For all the three applications, the receipt date was 10/21. My spouse's EAD application status changed to 'Document Production' yesterday and the 'LUD' for all the three applications were updated yesterday. But the status of my AP renewal/spouse's AP renewal still shows up as 'Initial Review'.

The 'LUD' on all the three applications were again updated today. All the three applications are shown with LUD of 11/13/2009.

This at least gives me hope that someone is working on the AP applications and I just hope, god willing, our AP gets approved before 11/27. :)

Thanks,

We have an emergency (surgery of parents) and we have to go to India on Monday. We filed for AP on 10/16. There was no change on our online status for long time. I was frustrated and took a Infopass on 11/10 and explained the emergency. They asked for an emergency letter from the hospital (Not a scanned copy or fax). They promised to issue an emergency AP provided we get the letter ASAP by cancelling the pending application. I went home from Infopass and found out that the AP we filed on 10/16 was approved. (Mere coincidence). It was approved on 11/10 and the document was mailed on 11/10. I have been waiting for that document ever since. In the meanwhile, i got the emergency letter from India. I took another Infopass appointment on 11/13 and went with the letter. They told me that they cannot issue an emergency AP cannot be issued as the previous application was approved and is in transit. The document was mailed on 11/10 and i haven't got it till today (11/14). I have a ticket to India on Monday(11/16). I am hoping i will get it on Monday. The immigration office told that technically my spouse can leave and i can mail the document. And she is confident that the document should arrive by Monday. The only problem is if the document is lost in mail and we have a problem (She told this situation to me). If it is lost, we might have to re-apply a new one, which means my spouse has to be in the country.

I am curiously waiting for the mail everyday. Tomorrow is Sunday. So i guess i have to wait until Monday.

Not sure how much time typically USCIS documents take to deliver (Regular mail i believe). Nebraska to Boston.

This morning, at around 09:13 AM PT, I received a couple of text alerts on my Mobile saying the status of our AP petitions had changed !!! With prayer on my mind, I logged onto USCIS website and was happy to notice that both our petitions had changed from 'Initial Review' to 'Document Production or Oath Ceremony'.

I am aware that, we aren't yet out of the trenches yet as anything might happen until the time we actually have the AP document on Hand...But I am believer and I hope for the best and I guess, the major hurdles(approval) have been crossed...

At least, Now I do not have to cancel my flight tickets scheduled for November 27th !!! :)

Here is the complete timeline.

Date the AP Renewal application sent from my Attorney's office: 10/20
Date received at USCIS, Nebraska: 10/21
USCIS Notice Date: 10/21
USCIS AP Renewal approval Date: 11/16

Total Time USCIS took to arrive at the decision: 18 Business days.

I am sure there are a couple of other folks who are waiting on AP for their trips...Good Luck to them...

Congrats to those who received their approval.....
Just called USCIS customer service, and was told that even the processing time for Nebraska is listed as 3 months, but from their internal database, the actual date shown as of today is July 30th. Can't believe they are taking more than 3 months to process an AP renewal......
anyway, I did a finger print about 2 years ago after I filed for my I485, and dont remember doing the finger print for my previous AP. Do you think that i need to do finger print for this AP renewal this time?
Thanks in advance.

A quick question. I have an AP which expires in Feb'10. I am traveling on vacation during Dec'09. My attorney is asking me to apply for the next AP right now. Is it OK to process the next AP when you are out of the country on the current AP ?

I read somewhere in the forums that New AP issued becomes invalid if the person is out of the country.

Thanks

If you are coming before Feb 10, then why cant you apply after coming back ? I would say it is safe to apply while you are in the country.

I followed up today with another INfopass, since I hadn't received the approval yet. I guy at the center checked the status of my previous service rquest which I had initiated on 11/10 and the response was " they are unable to expedite my case as it is currently under official review". I have no idea what that actually means. In the mean time while everyone is getting their AP in a few weeks, mine seems to be stuck. They haven't asked for any evidence of information and the case status remains "Initial Review".
Anybody had a similar experience before?

We applied for AP in October and the application reached USCIS on Oct 19th. I see the Last updated date as 10/22 and the status remains at Intial Review as of now. Not sure when do i get it approved. My 485 was filed in 2008 and so I havent sent any fee for renewing the advance parole (as I paid one time fee during 485 application process)

On 11/18, you posted the good news that your AP petition was approved and the online petition status was changed to, 'Document Production or Oath Ceremony".

I am in a similar boat as my AP petition was approved on 11/16 and the status was changed to, 'Document Production or Oath Ceremony". It has been 15 days since the status got changed online, but I am yet to receive the physical AP document on hand.

Husband's was not touched till late Novembe, we called them every day in the last couple of weeks everyday, kept getting same story that filing department had not forwarded the application to the immigration department. Finally, his AP was approved on November 30th.

We do not know if calling helped, but at least got some explanation.

Is there any LUD on I485 due to AP application or approval? As I remember, it was not.

Average processing used to be between 16 days to 60 days. Going through this thread, it seems that, now, processing time is not so good. Earlier, paper based filing were taking less time and electronic filing were taking more time. So I did paper based filing this time.

This is my case :-

* I applied for AP on Dec-17th.
* I got Receipt Notice on Dec-31.
* Its with Nebraska Service Center.
* I already booked my flight tickets (departing date is Jan-31)

Now, only 10 WORKING DAYS left for my travel. Once approved, it takes 2 to 3 days for the mail. That left only 7 or 8 working days for something to happen. I am beginning to worry as this could mess up my plans.

What are my options at this time?. Does info-pass help in my situation (Its not a medical emergency)? Should I just sit and wait? or do something?

please advice.

We had the same stupid problem last year for AP renewals...the AP receipt mentions not to send photographs unless specifically asked for. Then during FP, they anyway take a digital photograph. But inspite of all this, they sent us RFEs (2 times - once for my wife and once for me) saying photographs were missing!

Why can't the USCIS just mention this in the receipt that lists out other required documentation?? Oh wait...its the USCIS stupid...can't expect them to make things easier can you??!!

The odds of getting the AP in hand are high. But anything can happen. The AP can be approved and lost in mail.

In the past, there have been postings on IV forums where in people had to reapply for AP because their original application process was not successfully completed (such as lost in mail, USCIS lost apps etc). It is a damn harsh thing where in people have to shell AP money again because something happened to the previous set.

I am in a helpless situation...My AP is still not approved, but I have only 4 days left for my travel.

I am trying to talk to "real person" at USCIS, but it would not give me any option to do so. The only option I did not pick is "report a problem with case". I tried all other options.

It looks like I will have to cancel my trip. Even if they approve today, I may still not make it as it have to come in the mail....I would like to give one last try by talking to Immigration Officer.

Those who called USCIS, can you please tell me how you contacted?

Thank you.

If your travel is due to any emergency or an important/urgent purpose, you can go to the local USCIS office with documentation to justify the cause.
My cousin had his AP, it was called something else and was on white paper unlike the normal AP, given to him the same day.

My AP renewal app was received by NSC on Dec 16th '09 and due to my mistake re-submitted my wife's and received by CIS on Jan 04th.

My wife's AP had a SLUD on 22nd and today its approved. But, not even an SLUD on mine so far.

Pretty similar thing happened to us last year too. My wife's AP got approved 1 month before mine, even though both received on the same date.

I don't see any other denominator except i am on H1 status and last entered on H1 and my wife on AOS status entered using AP. I have an option of travelling on H1 but she don't. But, I firmly believe that those stupid CIS guys would NOT use that kind subjective treatment of cases.

The checks haven't been cashed yet.Is there anything we can do to expedite the process at all?
Any advice will be appreciated. I know it's our mistake applying so late, but is there any way to get it in one month? Thanks in advance!

Krish9 - I mailed my AP application to the Phoenix location as well around April 15th, I haven't heard back (no receipt yet) and my check has not been deposited either. When did your application reach Phoenix and when was your check deposited?

Since it has been more than 4 weeks now - just wondering what is going on. Since your timeline is very similar to mine, it will be very helpful to get some more info from you.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks!

What are my options - looks like most checks are deposited within 2-4 weeks. I am concerned at this point since all my previous AP applications were approved and AP received with 4 weeks.

Please advise - what should I do at this point.

refile it online...its much faster and you pay what they quote there and pay using credit card...no headache of checks... and the receipt is generated right away.....

The only bad part is you still need to get photos clicked and send supporting docs so does not save you on postage and trip to the store........

Long time for my wife. We applied together in early Dec 2009. Mine came in a month. USPS pigeon post lost my wife's receipt notice. USCIS since keep us stuck for the last 6 months. Infopass did not help, tons of calls and emails to USCIS did not help much either. I got hold of one R. Hill Johnson send her reapplication without any fees and in the cover letter explained the ineptness of USCIS. Not sure what happened at TSC, but almost a week after that reapplication we got an email that the case (with initial SRC#) was re-approved and we should get a notice in mail soon. Time for us to pray every day that this time we actually get it.

its Nebraska and paper, we had medical reason.
The officer sent a mail to the lady who is assigned my case, but don't know how long she will take to look into my case. Even the officer said the same as he is also not sure of the time to review the case.

And one more thing we learnt is, Phoenix center where we sent the application is just a lockbox, what all they do is to collect the applications cash the money and sent them to the respective centers ... hope this helps.

I would suggest you guys to do e-filing of applications which would be faster

Hi All,

Is the copy of previous AP required only when you do e-file ? I am planning to do paper file and the filing instructions do not require previous AP to be sent. It just asks for:

1. H1 Approval (or current status) Copy.
2. I-485 Copy
3. Photo ID (License etc)
4. 2 photos

All,
I have a question on an Approved AP.
485 Pending at Nebraska Service Center.
E-Filed the AP and EAD renewals on June 6th 2010.
Confirmation Receipts asked submit the supporting documents to TX Service Center.
So submitted the documents to TX service center.

Received CASE Update mail on 07/06/2010 that, the I-131 (AP) application is approved.
And Received the AP Documents in mail 07/19/2010.
But on the Approved AP Documents, the Issued Date is mentioned as September 20, 2010 and valid until September 20, 2011.

I didn't understand why the issued Date on the document is 09/20/2010, where as it is actually approved on 07/06/2010.

Will there be any problem in travelling out of US before 09/20/2010 and coming back with this Approved AP which has the issued date of 09/20/2010.?

Do you have an old AP that is valid till Sept 19,2010. If then you are good. The IO has done it right. If you apply for renewal, then they will extend from the expiry of the old one. This was the case for me last 3 times, but this time, the approved on July 11 and made it valid one year from approval date and I lost couple months due to this.

Hi Friends!
This is my first post here, and I take this opportunity to say hello to everyone here. Having browsed through this forum, I can see that this definitely is the finest immigration forum around.
My wife, who is a US citizen, is filing for my immigration tomorrow, and along with it, she is also filing for my Adjustment of Status (And Advance Parole as well as Employment authorization). She would file it at the Chicago dropbox tomorrow. I am on a B2 visa here.
I would like to know how long would it take, or how long does it averagely take these days, for the AP and EAD to be processed in a case like mine.
I understand this thread is about processing time for AP renewal but in my case, it would be a fresh AP and EAD.
Thanks a lot to all in advance.

I applied for mine on April 22nd online. I sent in the pictures almost a month later writing the A numbers, names on the back of the pictures along with a copy of the Receipt notices. Did not hear from USCIS until like mid-July when they sent an RFE, asking for pictures. So I thought the pictures I sent really didn't reach the right department. I sent the pictures on July 16th, and I just received the AP in mail on July 30th.

Lesson Learnt: Next time, I'll not submit online application, but will submit paper applications so that I will not get this RFE inspite of sending the pictures.

wait for what?

E-filed EAD/AP on 05/07 still waiting for AP approval...But EAD approved.

What kind of response we will get, when we open a SR after 3 months (ie. Beyond normal processing window)

Hi folks,
My 485, EAD and AP were filed on aug 2nd and I received email confirmation and the WAC* yesterday mentioning that my case was transferred to CSC.

I need to travel to canada or mexico to get a new I-94 card but no visa stamp.

Is there any way I can request expedite AP and is it okay to travel to get I-94 as technically CSC might have not processed the case.

Appreciate all inputs

I e-filed AP NSC

RD : 8/11/2010

Travel Plans 2nd week of Nov.

My current AP is expiring on Dec 10. Lets say if I don't get my AP renewed by the time I am leaving for vacation. Can I come back on my old AP. I am thinking Yes but as all experts are here so just want some thoughts if you have.

I see no issue with using your old AP as long as you return before Dec 10th. In any case your new AP should be approved by then.

I just e-filed mine on July 5th and approved on Aug 3rd. Already have the document in hand.

It is taking a lot longer than the last couple of years. I filed mine end of June, normally TSC would have approved it by now. Unfortunately this time it was transferred to the evil NSC and I am still awaiting an approval.

same here eb3napa, every time it goes to TSC, infact, for the time I am waiting now (look at my PD) TSC knows me as a regular customer (read it as bakra) for AP and EAD renewal every year for 3 people in the family. this time the freakin system sent our applications to NSC and i am worried now, since I have made my travel bookings for november. Can I go after 90 days and show them the air tickets to expedite or get another AP in the local service center?

This depends on case to case.

I filed for me and my wife in Jan and got them in March. (Paper filing by Lawyer)

One of my cousin filed online and he got Approval AP document in hand in two weeks.
Same with one of my friend who got approved document in hand by 20 days.

May be because they are busy aproving GC's since July, there is a delay in AP aprovals for people who files after July.
I think after September end, there will be flood of aprovals.

So November travel plan guys, dont worry you should get it in september-october for sure.

good luck

Hi Viji, since yours is more than 90 days, did you open up a SR, or expedite it in anyway? more than 90 days for AP is ridiculous.

No. I didn't since I don't have any travel plans. I will wait for couple of weeks and then I will open a SR. Actually this delay is good for me, I will get few extra months to plan my next year trip.

Same boat here.... I applied for my AP in end of May and still awaiting the approval. I dont have any plans of travelling in the next few months and hence the more delay the better it is for me.

I sent mine and my wife’s to TSC, RD is Jul 7th, have not received it yet.
Anyone with TSC got it recently?
How to check if my file is still with TSC?
That toll free number reads the same message that appears in online case status, "Initial review".
Checks have been cleared within 1week of RD.
Actually I sent them in June 1st week, they took 1month to return my application stating signature missing. Had it been like they did a preliminary check and returned it right away, I would have saved 3 weeks.
I already bought 3 tickets for India for Oct 8th, I am getting worried now.

Did anyone got FP notice for the AP renewal process?
if yes, when was the FP notice mailed after AP RD?
I called the NSC and inquired on my AP statsu ( same online version story ) , but he said ,
"Did you got your FP done", " I will send a request to local center for your FP to be taken and should receive notice in 30days"
I said if IO needs it he will send me one, please donot send any request and it might create extra overhead in the process, the rep agreed and void the FP Request to local center.
Should I be concerned?

How would you get FP done without getting an appointment?
I am guessing , AP applicants are asked for FPs if their FP was more than 1 or 2years old? ( I may be wrong )

I don't think this is the case. I applied for AP on Monday (30th Aug). I have tentatively booked tickets to India on Nov 17th. So I just have 75 days max. Not sure if I will get it by then.

spicy guy, which service center did you apply? if its texas, you are cool, u should get ur AP within 15-30 days max. I have travel in the third week of november and I applied for renewal in Nebraska and my RD for this is August 6th. I am not very optimistic. Cos, per the website, its taking anywhere between 95-150 days these days for AP renewal in NE.

I just entered US on AP and the I-94 stamp that i received on my AP/I-94 states "Paroled till Aug 20, 2011" - what does that mean ?
a) Can i use the same stamp to reenter US any number of times till Aug 20, 2011 ?
b) What happends after Aug 20 , 2011 - I-94 out of status ?

NO, NO!

There was another poster who tried something like that and had a serious issue. You can use AP only till the expiration date -which most probably will be earlier than the Aug 20 2011 date.

Please apply for another AP and use that one to enter.

On a separate note as you are AOS you can stay here past the expiration date of your I94.

Include a self addressed prepaid envelope ( prefered priority or next day express ).
I called on my case yesterday and they say its approved and wait for 30 days ( for mail) to get it to you.
