View Full Version : Applying for Citizenship

Six years ago, I had the unfortunate event of getting arrested for code 25658 here in California. I pled guilty and did a Deferred Entry of Judgement (DEJ) Plea. I finished the program and they have my DNA sample collection. I've had green card since I was a baby and finally filling out my application for citizenship. My question is, on FORM N-400, Do I answer the question "Have you EVER been convicted of a crime or offense?" with a yes or no? I want to check NO, but I wanted to make sure before I proceed. I have documentation to support my DEJ program. Would that be suffice? Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. THANK YOU!
