Recently there was news that Southern California Electric company was laying off 400 employees after outsourcing jobs to consulting firms:

Edison screws its employees, too | San Diego Reader (http://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2015/feb/07/ticker-edison-screws-its-employees-too/)

Someone from the Center for Immigration Studies posted this interesting article about h1b wage suppression facts:

How H-1B Workers Replace American Workers | @wwwcisorg | Center for Immigration Studies (http://www.cis.org/miano/southern-california-edison-workers-just-more-h-1b-roadkill)

I thought there is a lot of truth to this. So I wanted to post this news for IV members to read

The study is from a right wing "think tank", founded and funded by FAIR and NumbersUSA. What exactly is your motivation for sharing this on IV forum?

According to the interpretation on the website the 60,000$ minimum is an incentive for companies to replace US workers with Foriegn workers. Since economics works both ways, it also effects Foriegn workers who are in the country stuck in the back log waiting to get Green cards, since employers can keep them stuck without paying them more or letting them leave their jobs to get other jobs. So question is whether this is another loop hole IV must work on fixing through their advocacy, to remove that 60,000$ lower denominator as written in the law currently so that everyone gets fair wages in the immigrant community. Its going to be a tough sell with law makers anyways I think, but the fact is it seems companies deliberately have added this loop hole to keep it the way it is.

On the link you posted, it says and I quote -
"It is common for out law firm to receive client referrals"

This lawyer cannot write properly on the home page of his website, and you think that going to this lawfirm will get us "easy ways to get green card."
Perhaps you dont know what we immigrants think about immigration lawyers.
