Per the last EB-inventory update
http://www.uscis.gov/USCIS/Green%20Card/Green%20Card%20Through%20a%20Job/I-485%20Employment-Based%20Inventory%20Statistics/EB%20I-485%20Pending%20Inventory%20as%20of%2007-17-2013.pdf
as of 7/17/2013, we had 9,751 EB3-India pending with priority dates older than 01/01/2004.

Per http://www.travel.state.gov/pdf/EmploymentDemandUsedForCutOffDates.pdf
as of Oct 07, we have 2,900 EB3-India pending with priority dates older than 01/01/2004.

Am I correct in understanding that in roughly 80 days, USCIS approved approximately 6,851
EB3-India 485s?

However, if we factor in the cut-off dates, the number of EB3-India applications that USCIS could only have approved by Oct 7 is roughly 6,540. Then, by this analysis, we should have all been approved by now.

Can someone please help me understand what I am missing...

you are not missing anything..you just assumed USCIS follows a procedure and its numbers make sense which is incorrect in my opinion and experience.

I should also have been approved by now but there is no word from USCIS yet.. so the x factor is USCIS.

Hi guys,
Yesterday, I have received CPO email in the morning and received decision email in the night.
I have received CPO email before and changed back to RFE processing after a few days so I am cautiously optimistic this time, I will only believe when I see the card.

I received mass RFE and responded to that on 08/27. Opened an SR a couple of weeks ago but haven't heard from USCIS on that yet. Took info pass yesterday. My case is with TSC

Cheers

CaliHoneB: What did the Mass RFE ask for?

Even our case is with TSC .. EB3 with PD Aug 2003

Mass RFE was about employment verification.

As the dates have not moved I suspect USCIS will eventually clear our all applications soon. I think they were in a hurry to allocate all visa numbers because of sudden increase in Visa number availability for EB3. Hangin there your turn will come. Good luck

Cheers

Thanks CaliHoneB,

Did not want to sit idle, so opened a expedite request through Senator.. to see if we get the much required traction on our case.

Also USCIS did not release the demand data for EB3 since July. Could you share how you confirm the sudden jump in visa availability for EB3?

there is new demand data out in oct. There are many threads discussing avalability, PD movement etc on this forum but it is definitely not my forte..

I can finally say that my GC journey is over. I just received the physical card a few minutes ago. I will still be involved in IV efforts and I urge other people to stay involved as well even after you received your GC.

Cheers

It's been 55 days since dates have become current, In spite of case status request from NSC and Senator expedite request from their congressional liaison, no updates :(

This waiting game hasn't taken any new turns.

Tell this to people who call every other day or run to Senators thinking that they will get priority over everyone else. There is a mad race by so called educated people out there. There was a time when someone told me if a lawyer opens a service request, USCIS officer panics and works on that case pronto. Thankfully that ignorance is now gone after so many people become informed.

55 days is nothing. One person I know was current for 8 months and then got his greencard. You may have to be patient. Approvals do not come in order at all.

I wasn't being impatient after 10 yrs+. Was implying how Texas service center is so slow, apparently everyone knows. Was trying to get insights on new ideas or avenues to speed up things which is super rare to come by.

Patience is all we've got AGREED.

Eb3 labor filed in September 2004.
I140 got approved in February 2007.
I485 applied in August 2007.
Started applying EAD and AP for self and family members.
Got RFE for medical in 2010.
Eb2 labor filed using perm in November 2012.
Labor got approved in February 2013.
Applied I140 in March 2013.
Got RFE in June 2013 for experience letter from employer or affidavits from friends.
Responded in July 2013 and got it approved in two weeks.
Eb2 became current from August 2013.
Send email to interfile to both Texas and Nebraska center in september. No response.
My lawyer also sent a request in this regard.
On September 12th filed a service request and since then started waiting.
Called USCIS couple of time but with same response that it is under review.
I learned to become patient and finally my text on my mobile arrived on 24th October 2013 to check my USCIS case status. Showed that the cards are in production.
Now awaiting physical cards.

A big thank you to all here who have given good guidance, expertise and knowledge. Long live IV.

Hi all..

i just got to know yesterday that one of my colleagues' friend received his green card with an EB2 PD of 2009!

Since the visa bulletin says EB2 is at Jun 2008, is it possible that USCIS has made a mistake OR such things are expected given the way USCIS works randomly?

Finally I head the beep on my cell, music to my ears. Checked status immediately, it was showing Card Production which turned quickly next day back to initial review. I have read in forums here that it is normal and it turns back. Please let me know otherwise.

This could be the beginning to the end of the wait. It shows Card Production as of now for my wife.

Ajay,

Did you have any issues with the August 2007 filing date for the 485?
We had an AOS interview and the officer mentioned the August 2007 visa bulletin said PD Unavailable.

have sent her details about the USCIS memo on July 17 about accepting applications till Aug 17th -but checking if you or anyone on the board here in a similar situation had the issue?
