I finally got Card Production Ordered email today.

Physical card not in hand, hope this is the right place to post.

My GC is based on future employment. My attorney said join my future employer in 'reasonable' time. Not sure what the reasonable time is. Do you think I can start working for him after 3 months ? I want to go on a long vacation before I join my future employer.

It depends on the ability to pay of your company. As I understand, if they have more profits than your salary, future employment is fine. Otherwise, its better you stick with them till 140 is cleared. Again in case of future employment, you will need to join them back on getting a GC. And they should be ready to give you Employment Verification letter when you file 485.

Forgot to add my issues during GC. I have an RFE at 140 stage for ability to pay. Luckily they had enough revenue and profits, so they sent the yearly tax statement they filed and no issues from then on.

Thanks Whiz for your reply and details.

My consulting company is small(i think there are 5 employees) and i don't think so my employer may disclose revenue info to me(again consulting company will think that i may move on if ii know the truth), let me give it a try asking my employer what is the revenue situation.

There is a recent report where USCIS is auditing approved GC for the cases like yours....so I would suggest to join your employer asap.

Journey is over for me and my wife my friends here in IV! The long wait paid off. All the sweat, blood and tears are all gone and now is the time to get up again. Rise up to a new day. As Im always praying, this day would come, it will be for all of you also. Nothing is impossible, I almost gave up but somehow thought this is not just for me, this is for my family also, so I have to wait patiently.
In case some of you guys are interested, this is my journey:
AOS was filed when that small window was opened on that day of July 2007, the fiasco if you all still remember.

My PD was March 2006.

Became current VB April 2012, after 5 years.

RFE notice was emailed and sent April 17 (wife's bday :)) by USCIS.

RFE received April 20 (my birthday :)) they only need a Letter from my employer (just to confirm Im still connected or offer from employer still stands, offered salary...etc).

April 24, requested RFE was sent by my lawyer (with attached cover letter from lawyer).

May 07, received email update from USCIS, RFE was received.

June 4, monday, received the decision and Card production ordered. :D

I belong to EB3 and came here yr 2000 and started my H1B status since 2001. I think I got 2X 3 years extension. Labor certified 2006.

Hope this gives you guys some idea of my journey that i know you all are going through also. All my best and prayers to all of you my friends here in IV. Just tell yourself if youre down and in despair, "lucky me I have something to wait and hope for" always look on the bright side. Stop reading sad immigration stories. You yourself and your case is different from the others, so always think your OK!!!!
