Yes, this will be very good for the economy. More green cards, more cheap labor. Salary and contracting rates will go down as more people in the market.

This move is very wisely done...nothing good for us except the card to live here.

Investing in any Business requires consistency. Investing in USA specially for small business is very risky. For starting business we need time atleast 1-2 years to set the business. USA usually gives 1 or 2 years visa and we don't know if the visa will be renewed or not further. If not then all investment made has to be disposed off at throw away prices and then again spend time to establish business at new place. Also the tax's are very high specially in the big states like New York where there is good business potential.

USA needs to introduce new immigration and tax policies specially if they want to attract small business not only from the exisiting legal immigrates but also in order to attract business from Asia, China and India.

for anti immigrants.... there will never be perfect time for immigration..... either the economy will be too bad to allow immigration..... or it will be to good to let immigrants get green cards otherwise according to you, immigrants will spoil the cozy times....

my take is that either way close minded folks are destined for doom.....

Several opposition on outsourcing. The companies say, it is hard to find skilled labor etc.
So, by giving more green cards, outsourced jobs in chennai will be back here...that is the goal. Unfortunately, this is not going to happen unless they stop L1s. Our salaries will not increase be we have GC.

When that happens, I hope you will be the first one to go back

L1 crackdown is already happening...now it is pretty hard to get L1B approved.

There is no shortage of capital as such...Thanks to central banks, money is at low interest.
The reason for low US investment it is highly regulated and makes little sense to invest in US busienss unless it isa sale front end of a production shop in Asia.
