Hi All,

Planning to travel to London, and have a quick question for someone with experience.

Do I have to send in my original green card with my application ?

Thanks

Any Indian citizen needs a visa to visit UK. The process is very simple and takes about 2-3 weeks, details available in the link below:

A students visitor visa is only for people who intend to study a course lasting less than six months. Since your course is a four year degree course, you will need a Tier 4 student visa. It's the length of the course that matters, not the amount of time you actually spend in the UK. Also be aware that you cannot work on a student visitor visa, but on a Tier 4 visa when you are studying at a UK university at degree level you can work up to 20 hours per week during term time and full time during vacations.

I agree. Compared to the stupid Schegen requirements which include an in person appearance at a consulate (people living in WA and OR, for example, have to fly down to SF or LA), the UK process, whilst a bit laborious is very st. fwd.
