Experts,

My parents in India recently received a 10-yr visitor visa. Is there any rule/law that requires visitors (B1/B2) to travel to US for the "first time" by certain date (60 days or 90 days) after visa stamping?

My parents are planning to come in late January/early February and their visa was stamped in mid-October.

Please advise.

Thanks.

I do not think there is any such rule. They can fly at their opportune time.

There is nothing like first visit should be before a certain date. They can utilize the visa anytime in the 10 year visa validity period.

My Parents flew nearly after 2 years of stamping. No problems faced any at the entry. Hope this helps.

no they can come anytime during the validity of their visa. In fact even if they arrive on the last day of their visa expiration they are set. Since once you arrive you are technically going with the validity of I-94 and not the visa.

My parents came after 1 year of getting their visitor visa. They had no problems whatsoever at POE.

They can visit USA at any time before their visa expires.
