View Full Version : Possible layoff-looking for a job

My (me being primary applicant) 485 is pending since july 2007 with PD sep 2005. approved 140 since almost 2 years and currently on H1B 5th year. I have EAD but never used it so far.

I have been working as six sigma consultant (full time position) for past 5 years and about 2years of experience working as statistician. I have double masters in Statistics.

I am looking for a job preferably in NJ and would really appreciate any/all help.

pamposh, try linkedin and other networking channels - I have been hearing that they are very effective. In this market - every bit of networking works. Good luck

Re LinkedIn, I'd advise to create your profile, make it public, and start building your network by inviting people you know. In addition, the site has a very useful feature called Groups. You can join any of the thousands of Groups that meets your interests/skills (e.g., project management, school alumni). You can then chose to get daily alerts from Group members. Most of those alerts are about job needs/leads.
