Hi,
I have an infopass appt on Fri in Newark, nj.
Did I talk to an immigration officer?
What do we actually need to tell them?
Please advise
Thanks

These are the questions I thought of assuming that you are @AOS.

Ask them if we( indians) have any visa numbers available for this month

ask for your name check clearance and Back ground check clearance Dates

Ask them where is your file ( which room to be more precise)

Check for figure prints clearance

Hi guys,
Thought I would post my experience.

My new EAD card says Biometrics Not Available and the CSR asked me not to send anything back - because USCIS is a black hole (she's saying this
being a USCIS employee - HAH!)

I then got passed onto an IO who looked through ALL my details in detail. And she was puzzled about why my case hadn't been reviewed!! By the way she was wonderful - really sweet, really helpful.

She immediately opened up a SR and sent Lincoln, NE my detailed status asking for immediate review. She said regardless of priority dates published to please call back at the (800) number to follow up about the status of my case.

That's it. Let's see - I would love to see the USCIS move their bums to approve as many people as possible in the last couple weeks of September..even if I'm not one of them.

Here are my deets and best of luck to everyone. I personally believe that the retrogression is not going to last. It's just a stopgap measure for the very short term for the EB2 Category. Let's talk about EB3 over a glass of vino and a cigar?

I sure hope the SR leads to something meaningful for you...beginning to wonder if it really means much, though, anymore. Meaning there's so much diversity in IO attitude and information (and awareness for that matter), that it is getting difficult to interpret these sort of experiences correctly.

Anyways, good luck again (sincerely) and I have a quick question for you...

How can you tell if the name check (or background check or both) is/are cleared? Infopass or some other way?
