View Full Version : I140 - USCIS lookup says retrieve failed

When I try to look up the case status for my I140 using the "Check Case Status" feature at www.uscis.gov, it says

"Case Status Retrieval Failed. This Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center."

Does anyone else have a similar problem. I applied my I140 on 17th Aug, 2007. Close to being an year now.

I have applied my I-140 and I485 concurrently on August 17th and my I-140 has the exact same status as yours.

Initially I was getting the same message for all my applications (I-765, I-130, I-485 and I-140). What I noticed is when they actually start working on your case, the case status gets updated.

Please let me know if recieve any updates with regards to your I140 application.
