I think TSC is only 4 months behind, and they approved mine in less than 2 weeks, but you never know what's going on in the ocean. Other IV folks can jump in here, but did you ask the lawyer for an update and force him/her to get the status from USCIS. Was there any rfe(s)?

Try to raise a service request through your lawyer/employer.
If it does not work, write to CIS Ombudsman and your congressman.

I filed mine in July 07 too. Got approved about 6 months later. Write to Ombudman and then go for Infopass. The Infopass system is different and more accurate than the online or phone. While at Infopass, asked if there's an RFE, and the status on your I-485 (stuck in name check, fingerprint expiration etc). Also, verify your mailing address. I've changed my address during this process and I can tell you their system is a mess. Good luck.

yes I am, I filed I-140 in March 2007 @ NSC, there are no updates, no rfe, did not change address, opened service request and its past 45 days and still there is no response from USCIS. Now planning to write to congressman.

I doubt they will entertain you on 140. They are under no obligation to reveal the status of 140 as it is employer's petition and I know some of the attorneys don't even respond to 140requests by the employee.

You will have to work thru your employer on this

Upgrading it to Premium Processing is one more option if your company is willing to spend the extra $1000 on this...

I applied during Jul'07 fiasco and got approved in feb'09 after 18months but their online system still shows pending. Check with your attorney if they have received the approval by mail or TSC may have they kept few cases aside to extract few more bucks by upgrading to premium processing.

Similar Case - Mine was filed in April 2007 and I changed my company just when it was under processing in Feb 2008. Got stuck in there. Opened a service request through lawyer in July/August 2008. Was told to wait six months FInally approved in Jan 2009.

I filed in June 2006 at TSC. Its more then 3 years now. Wrote to CIS Ombudsman, got multiple replies from then that they are working on my case. Need to contact back if nothing is heard in 45 days.

Spoke to Congressman in Texas for multiple times... Spoke to Senetar in MA as I reside in MA. Got replied from them that INS has promised them to give some answer in one week's time. 6 months have passed since I last heard that.

None of the above has worked.... So, relax, there are more people sailing in the same boat as u r.
