Hi,

Planning to visit India in December. My current H1 expires in Oct, and my extension is approved. However, I also have my AP, and was planning to not get my visa stamped during the trip. The most convenient flight is via Paris...do I need a transit visa, or am I OK? (Per this thread, it is not reqd for Frankfurt or Amsterdam, right?)

thanks!

if you dont have unexpired stamped visa.
AP is not considered a visa . check frnehc embassy website.
i booked tickets and canceled them cause there was not enough
time to get a visa.

Merloin,

Did you take the flight that transits via Paris? Did you get a transit visa?

I traveled with a visa a couple of years ago and no one asked for it/checked it. I traveled again in Dec without a visa and no problems. I had checked with the embassy and they confirmed that visa was not required if I had an AP.
