Hi everyone

I have my Green Card since oct 2008. Recently I moved to a new address. Do I need to file for change of address? If so where?

Thanks in advance

Go to uscis web site and find the link for AR-11 or change of address or call uscis customer service Phone number which is mentioned on your GC approval notice.

Though AR-11 is used to notify the USCIS about the change in your address, you have to update the new address in your green card. To do this, you must file Form I-90 (http://www.immigrationdirect.com/greencard/renewal-green-card-Form-I-90-replace.jsp) with the USCIS.

I-90 is not needed for change od address for green card. I-90 is only for replace ore renew green card for lost or expiring date.

AR-11 should be filed within 10 days of moving to new address.

You are right when you said I-90 is used to renew or replace your green card. Additionally it is also used if your name or other biographic information has changed since the card was issued;
