Hi,

I plan to travel at the end of June and applied for AP in April. I got message from USCIS on May 5th to inform me my AP application has been approved. But yesterday when I received my AP document, I found the issue date on the document is August 1st, 2010.
I think it should be May, 2010.
Although the AP indicates it is valid before July, 30, 2011, I'm not sure the issue date will affect my re-entry to the U.S., since when I return, it will by July 10th, earlier than the AP issue date.

Anyone has similar experience or give my some advance is that safe I can use this AP document?

Many thanks!!!

You re-entry date to the US should be within the effective dates of your AP.

Seems like they gave you the wrong dates for whatever reason. Setup an Infopass to sort it out.
Did you have a current or expired AP that you attempted to renew? If so, what was the expiry date on that AP?

I applied for EAD & AP for both me and my wife. EAD was approved in less than 3 weeks. There was an RFE on AP for copy of driver licence & PP photos. Although I had included copies of my PP (few pages), and also the photos for both EAD & AP application. When I sent them the required items, we got our AP in 3 weeks time. We applied to the Nebraska center. HTH

The same issue happens to me. I get my approved AP with Date Issued of Nov. 21, 2010, and valid before Nov. 20, 2011. My current AP expires on Oct. 20.

Have you solved your issue? Did you call them to correct it?

I applied AP on March 4th,2010 and got an approval on March 28,2010.My old AP was valid till 28th April,2010.So when the approval came it started from April 29,2010 but the issue date was April 28th,2010.
I am planning to travel in December of 2010 and hope that this should not be an issue.
USCIS is posting the dates of the approval as the same day as the day of the expiry given on the old AP.
Anyone feels that is a problem or intentional on USCIS part.
