Hi,

My lawyer has put in wrong dates(Typo) in the Labor application regarding my education. Instead of Year 1996 as start year, he mentioned 1997 as start year for the Master's degree. Also, there is a typo in the month start and month end.

Is it going to be a problem? Please let me know your thoughts. Labor certificate ia already approved and I am filing I-140 and I-485 now. Can mistakes in LCA haunt 140/485 proceedings.

Please respond.

Thanks
-Shiv

Its better to get it corrected now, rather than have problems later.

Yes correct them ASAP , as the dates are critical.

But the labor application is already approved. How can the application be corrected now?

Please specify the way to get it corrected....my lawyer did not speak of any option/way to do that...

I also have sort of same issue. my labor says I started employment in US in March, 2005 while I came here through consultant in Jan, 2005. Can this disparity in dates be a hurdle in 485 approval?

All of you guys seem to be in a better position than me, some of you are wrong by a day, some by a month. In my case it is wronged by 2 years.
I worked for the same company both in India & USA, they were treated as 2 different entities in the LCA.

Correct Dates should have been

India: 1997 - 2000
USA: 2000 - Till Date

Dates on approved LCA were

India: 1997 - 2002
USA: 2002 - Till Date.

Realised abt the error during I 140, lawyer suggested to furnish emplyement letters from the US & Indian arm along with I 140 suggestion, not sure if this is what is correcting the error, waiting with my fingers crossed. I think it will be another 6 months for the decision to come on my I 140.

Mine is also same case, my previous employer dates were wrong and I told my lawyer to change them during 45day letter and he said don't worry.

Now my I140 approved and I485 is pending. I dont know what to do.. eagerly waiting for the decision. Hope everything goes well.
